Mason extends its line with four supplements.(SUPPLY SIDE) - Mass Market Retailers

NEW YORK--Mason Vitamins has launched four supplements in a range of categories.

New from the company are Omega 3-6 Krill Oil 1,000-mg soft-gels, Advanced Colon Cleanser tablets, Niacin Flush Free 750-mg capsules and Omega-3 Fish Oil 1,000-mg & [D.sub.3]1,000-IU softgels.

Phytoplankton-feeding krill are shrimplike animals of the crustacean family. Containing phosphatidyl choline, omega-3 fatty acids, carotenoids and antioxidants with an average oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) value of 378, krill oil may play an important role in brain and eye development and health, protecting cells from free radical damage. Krill oil may also reduce high cholesterol, the physical and emotional effects of premenstrual syndrome, arthritis symptoms, and joint and vascular inflammation.

The colon cleanser tablets are formulated to support healthy colon function and cleansing. They have probiotics to help restore the 'good' bacteria in the intestinal tract, cascara sagrada and other herbs to help cleanse the colon, and aloe and licorice to help soothe the stomach.

The niacin capsules are formulated to promote energy as well as heart and nervous system health without the flushing effect of niacin. They are billed as an economical option for maintaining healthy cholesterol levels.

The 1,000-mg fish oil and 1,000-IU vitamin [D.sub.3] softgels may reduce the risk of heart disease while delivering the added benefits of vitamin D (bone, immune, breast and colon health), the company says.
