Aloe Vera And Dragon Eye Dessert

This is another interesting dessert of mine. It tastes good and can be taken anytime of the day. It can be served hot or cold.







Ingredients:






Domino Premium Pure Cane Sugar 5Lb Bag



1 cup dried dragon eye (longans)
1/2 cup aloe vera flesh
1/2 cup sugar
5 cups water

 Method:
1. Clean the aloe vera and cut into small pieces.
2. Boil the dragon eye till they are soft. Add in the aloe vera and boil for half an hour.
3. Add in the sugar and serve when cooled.





Aloe Vera With Ginkgo Nuts, Longans And White Fungus


This dessert can be taken cold or hot. Remove the ginkgo nuts by cracking the shell before cooking. To remove the skin from the nuts, keep them in the refrigerator first. This will loosen the skin so that it is easier to peel.
As  for the white fungus, soak them in cold water for awhile. Once the white fungus become soft, cut into small pieces.
Remove the aloe vera skin before cooking. Slice them into small pieces.
Longans skin are light brown in colour. The flesh is juicy and transparent.

Ingredients:
Premium Quality White Snow Fungus Mushroom - 4.0 Oz - (Tremella fuciformis) - UnbleachedChaokoh - Longan in Syrup (Net Wt 20 Oz)






1 Aloe Vera - Medicine Plant -Burn Plant -Miracle Plant


2 pieces white fungus
1/2 cup longans (canned)
1/4 cup ginkgo nuts
1/8 cup aloe vera flesh
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups water

Method:
1. Soak the white fungus in cold water for a few minutes.
2. Remove the skin from aloe vera.
3. Remove the shell and skin from the ginkgo nuts using a nut cracker.







4. Mix all the ingredients together and boil for 2 hours.
5. Serve cold or hot when cooked.

Note: This dessert can be boiled longer if you want the nuts to be softer. If you want to boil longer, use a slow cooker and set to high. It will be cooked to perfection in 4 hours time. Add only enough water to cover the ingredients.This will fasten the cooking time. Once the desserts cook, switch off the stove, add sugar  and some more boiled water.

Aloe Vera Enzyme








Aloe vera is a plant which is used to treat various skin conditions. It can also stimulates bowel movement and constipation. To make aloe vera enzyme, add apples and kiwi fruits for added flavour and nutrition.




Ingredients:
The aloe vera flesh




300 g aloe vera

3 kiwi fruits

3 green apples

2 lemon

1 cup honey

1/2 cup oligo sugar or 150 g brown sugar


Method:

1. Wash all the fruits and lets it dry completely. This is to ensure that no fungus will breed on the fruits.

2. Remove skins from all the fruits and cut into pieces.

3. Divide the ingredients into three portions.
4. Arrange the ingredients in a glass bottle in sequence: aloe vera, green apples, kiwi fruits, lemon and oligo sugar or brown sugar followed by honey. Repeat the process with the other portions.
5. Cover the bottle with a piece of plastic cling wrap. Put the bottle lid on top of it.
6. Keep turning the bottle everyday so that all the ingredients are all mixed.
7. Let it stand in a cool dry place for at least 2 week.
8. To serve, mix 2 tbsp of enzyme with a cup of water.



Note: We cover the bottle with cling wrap to prevent fruit fly from contaminating the fruit. Once the enzymes are ready, take away the cling wrap. Cover the bottle with the lid.
You can use ordinary brown sugar or the block brown sugar where you can buy from Chinese medicine shop. Oligo sugar is preferred because it is a friendly booster bacteria. This sugar can be bought in any organic shop. It is not too sweet and so it is recommended for diabetics.
